AME536B Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics B The second of two graduate courses giving an overview of fluid mechanics, AME536B is mostly centered on viscous laminar flow. We will cover the derivation of the Navier-Stokes equations, stress-strain relationships, kinematics of a fluid particule, the vortex force, the viscous stress tensor, vortex stretching, boundary layers, developed flows in pipes, Stokes flow, self-similar solutions in jets and wakes, the viscous energy equation, etc.
