2012 Human Development Index — Country Rankings  
The United Nations released last week the 2012 Human Development Index (HDI) country rankings. The HDI is a measure of standard of living which takes into consideration GDP per capita, life expectancy, level of education and several other parameters. As any ranking methodology, the HDI has its flaws.. But, it is considered more reliable than alternatives in assessing standard of living.
